-
Warm air escaping from windows, door frames, or leaky attics
-
Uneven temperatures, drafts, or cold spots throughout your home
-
Energy bills that are higher than usual

Attic insulation that is not higher than the floor joists
-
Smells coming from the basement or attic

The contractor will visit your home and recommend energy-saving upgrades, like installing insulation in your attic, walls, and or crawlspace, as well as sealing up air and duct leaks. They’ll also tell you how much it will cost after Con Edison’s contribution.

It also may include a blower door test to see how leaky your home is and infrared thermal imaging cameras to identify hidden areas that may need more insulation.

Note: homeowners are typically responsible for filing costs associated with any required permits.
